Biography
Jordan Strokovsky is the founder of Strokovsky LLC, a Philadelphia trial boutique devoted to representing individuals and families in medical malpractice, birth injury, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and other complex civil litigation.
While based in Philadelphia, Jordan regularly represents clients throughout Pennsylvania and is frequently retained by attorneys across the Commonwealth to serve as trial counsel or co-counsel in complex medical malpractice and catastrophic injury litigation. He is also licensed in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York and is regularly consulted by clients and attorneys nationwide on high-stakes litigation.
Jordan has obtained numerous seven- and eight-figure verdicts and settlements, including one of the largest medical malpractice recoveries in Pennsylvania history. His work has been recognized by local, national, and international media and legal publications in connection with significant medical malpractice, catastrophic injury, civil rights, aviation, product liability, and other complex litigation.
Approximately 95% of Jordan’s practice comes through referrals from other attorneys—a reflection of the trust other lawyers place in his ability to handle sophisticated litigation. Many are accomplished personal injury lawyers who entrust Jordan with their clients’ most complex medical malpractice, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death cases because of his experience handling sophisticated litigation, preparing cases for trial, and maximizing recoveries for injured clients.
Jordan intentionally limits the number of cases he accepts, allowing him to devote the time, attention, and resources necessary to prepare every case as though it will be tried to a jury. Throughout his career, he has achieved some of his most significant results in cases that were declined, underestimated, or considered difficult to win before they reached his office.
Historic $30 Million Medical Malpractice Recovery
Jordan obtained the largest reported verdict and recovery for an amputation case in Pennsylvania history, as ranked by VerdictSearch, and one of the largest medical malpractice recoveries in Pennsylvania history, securing more than $30.3 million on behalf of a client whose leg was amputated as a result of medical negligence at Temple University Hospital.
After rejecting a $3 million settlement offer, Jordan tried the case to verdict as sole trial counsel and obtained a $25.9 million jury award. Following extensive post-trial litigation, the court denied every challenge to the verdict, awarded delay damages and post-judgment interest, and the judgment ultimately exceeded $30.3 million before being paid in full.
The case not only resulted in full compensation for Jordan’s client, but also prompted Temple University Health System to publicly announce changes to its litigation strategy following the outcome.
Representative Matters
In addition to his historic medical malpractice recovery, Jordan has secured numerous seven- and eight-figure recoveries on behalf of catastrophically injured clients and their families.
Jordan obtained a $2.7 million jury verdict in the trial immediately preceding Jordan’s historic $30.3 million medical malpractice recovery. Jordan represented a client who suffered serious cervical spine injuries after being struck by a Philadelphia police vehicle. Before trial, a court-appointed mediator valued the case between $250,000 and $400,000. The jury ultimately awarded more than $2.2 million in non-economic damages alone.
The first lawsuit Jordan filed after founding Strokovsky LLC was on behalf of the family of Gregory Longenecker, whose death during a Pennsylvania State Police operation drew national and international attention. After several experienced attorneys declined the case, Jordan committed his new firm’s resources to uncovering the truth. Over the course of the litigation, he took more than twenty-five depositions, retained seven expert witnesses, and uncovered significant deficiencies in the official investigation. His work ultimately resulted in a substantial resolution for the family while providing long-overdue accountability and answers. The case became an early defining moment for the firm and reflected the philosophy on which Strokovsky LLC was built: taking on difficult cases, preparing them relentlessly, and pursuing justice regardless of the obstacles.
Jordan’s practice also includes birth injury, trucking and commercial vehicle collisions, premises liability, product liability, workplace injury, toxic tort, fires, explosions, aviation accidents, civil rights, sexual abuse, and other catastrophic injury litigation.
Client Testimonial
Trial and Appellate Advocacy
Jordan represents clients at every stage of litigation—from investigation through trial and appeal. He has successfully argued and won important appellate matters, including reversing summary judgment in a negligent security case that expanded protections for injured victims and prevailing on a significant venue issue. His appellate experience helps shape litigation strategy from the outset of every case.
Because of his experience in complex litigation, Jordan is frequently retained by other attorneys to serve as trial counsel or co-counsel. He is often brought into cases after suit has been filed to help develop litigation strategy, prepare cases for trial, and maximize recoveries for injured clients.
