Biography
Dylan T. Hastings is a partner at Strokovsky LLC and a trial lawyer whose practice focuses on catastrophic personal injury, civil rights, and wrongful death litigation. He represents individuals and families in complex cases involving constitutional violations, medical negligence, dangerous conditions, and other life-changing injuries.
Dylan has successfully litigated high-stakes cases involving wrongful death, constitutional violations, and catastrophic injuries. He has tried multiple cases to verdict in both federal and state courts and approaches every case with the expectation that it may ultimately be decided by a jury. That trial experience strengthens his position both in the courtroom and during settlement negotiations.
His notable results include a $2.5 million wrongful death settlement involving the death of a Pennsylvania county jail inmate from pneumonia, a $1.3 million settlement arising from a below-the-knee amputation in a Pennsylvania county jail, and a $1 million wrongful death settlement arising from a drug overdose in a Pennsylvania county jail. These recoveries reflect his experience handling complex, high-exposure litigation involving public entities, correctional facilities, and catastrophic injuries.
Dylan has also represented clients in significant appellate matters, serving as lead counsel in a precedential decision before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Before joining Strokovsky LLC, Mr. Hastings gained experience representing both institutional defendants and plaintiffs in complex civil litigation. That background allows him to evaluate cases from both sides of the courtroom and develop effective litigation strategies for his clients.
He began his legal career as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Anne McDonnell in Gloucester County, where he received the Samuel G. DeSimone Mediation Award for excellence in dispute resolution.
Dylan earned his Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School–Camden, where he competed nationally in moot court and placed third in the Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition (East Region). He received his undergraduate degree from Rider University, where he was a member of the men’s Division I soccer team.
Dylan is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York, and has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2024 through 2026.
